Our history

In 2018, Tim Knöferl, one of our current managing directors, began developing concepts for agricultural field robots. After several validation loops and refinements, the first concepts were ready for presentation in 2020.

After a pandemic-related interruption, the company AGICU UG (limited liability) was founded in 2023. Previously, the start-up was known under a different name. Since then, our second managing director, Johannes Rählert, has also been on board.

The first public appearance also took place in 2023 at AGRITECHNICA in Hanover. There, the company introduced itself to the world of agriculture. Further trade fair visits followed.

Currently, the company is mainly engaged in the prototype development of the AgiOne robot. This will be presented for the first time at AGRITECHNICA in 2025.
